(Club Pays d’en Haut) STE ADELE/ST ADOLPHE – REMEMBER IT IS A CUL DE SAC THIS SEASON!

Please, during periods of high wind, if you see signage that is crooked and/or  has fallen, gently pick it up so as not to break the wooden post and replace it, Thank you!!

Thanks to DANTHESKIDOO for his web video of our most beautiful Laurentian area!  Follow this link and check it out!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mGzBA-FQ_0  you can also follow him on Facebook.

If you’ve never been to the summit of Mt. Noire, you must go!  Take some snacks for the grey jays.  The views are spectacular!

Since the start of the season, we have been trying to keep up with the removal of the falling trees and branches with daily trail inspections.  New trees are coming down everyday so please be careful; if you can, take a chainsaw, branch cutters/pruning shears with you and take a minute to remove branches that are in the trail.  you can also call our club phone to report downed trees.  There are only 8 of us who have been doing the tree and branch removal so we can’t be everywhere at once.  So please help out where you can.

As with all of our trails, we are continuing to make improvements also… PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAILS, it cannot be stressed enough especially considering all of the fallen trees.  You don’t know what is hiding under all of that fluffy snow; there could be rocks, tree stumps or branches.  On our new trail, land owners who have given us permission to use their land have specifically asked that all snowmobiles remain on the designated trails or we could lose the permission to use their land.

To sort out the difficult hills on the J. A-RATELLE trail, the club is going to buy a special hydraulic groomer.  That sorts the hills out. We foresee adjustments and modifications to the new trail since grooming seems to be a challenge.

Please be careful and stay on the trails.

Marc-Andre, Head of trail patrollers and Vice President of Club Pionnier des Laurentides.

Attention:  Everything will be sorted out on the trails!!!

THE NEW TRAILS OF “CLUB PIONNIER DES LAURENTIDES”

SEPAQ worked all summer long with 5 front end loaders to finish a new trail between GOLF LAURENTIAN and PARC MT TREMBLANT.  There have been many agencies and companies involved to make this new trail happen.  Thank you to the whole team at SEPAQ for their support!

The Club is preparing for the 50th anniversary in 2013-2014.  We have been lucky enough to have financial assistance from the FCMQ and CRE Laurentides.  Lots of work has been done to improve our trails between Ste. Agathe towards Ste. Lucie and St. Adolphe.  A huge thank you goes out to Excavation R.B.  Gauthier, Excavation Real Vaillancourt and J. Clarke Excavation.
